Yeah, they are a well run airline, top to bottom. If it's feasible and practical, I go out of my way to fly them.

I am platinum elite on CO and never experianced any problems with them. They operate the youngest fleet and have won numerous awards for inflight service. Have a good flight.

Ditto to all of the previous posts. Maybe that's why they make money when no one else does. It sounds like Continental knows the secret.

Their planes are a little cramped and their people are fairly nice. I would not go out of my way to fly on CO, but then I wouldn't object, either.

They are not going to get my vote for the freedie this year. They don't know how to treat elites, and they are never ontime, which is why I moved over to Northwest, where I am Gold Elite.

Considering that CO has come in the top 3 in on time arrivals almost every month, and you say they are never ontime, I'd sure hate to fly any of the other major US airlines. They must get you to yor destination a week later.

I fly on CO 90% of the time and I have never had a bad situation except a time when I was in EWR for 5 hours due to weather, obviously no CO's fault. They have the cleanest planes, just not enough wideboadies on transcontinetal flights.

Their Biz first product is far superior than any other domestic airline, and they are always on time.

Having flown CO from BDL-CLE-PHX many times, I am usually 10-20 minutes early on the CLE-PHX segment. Always nice to be at the airport before your ride gets their!

My favorite domestic airline by a mile. I admire the leadership of any company that can storm back from the brink and put their peers to shame, and doing so without a glamorous brand name like Pan Am or TWA makes even sweeter. This airline is about blood sweat and tears in the most competitive airline market in the world. Plus, how can you possibly beat a BizFirst seat with 2X2X2 on a 777 or 2X1X2 on a 767? So the FAs aren't smoking hot like Thai's. Get over it and enjoy the ride. NW blows donkey rod in comparison.

OK I have to pick on CO for something. Me and NW-ELITE tried to get upgraded DCA-IAH 3 days in advance for elite and we kept on getting contradictory answers from the agents that we called. It was a long story.

That's right NW-ELITE, those only 3 flights that you flew on CO definitely mean that you have the authority to declare them an airline that is habitually late. Come on, please.

I always fly Continental out of EWR. They have very nice flight crews and pilots. They show me around the cockpit if I ask. As for service, they are mostly on-time. Never really had a problem with them. 1 out of 10 they will be on-time. The people at the gate who collect the tickets (not sure if htey are Continental workers or airport workers) are very nasty. They don't help you with anything. As for their planes, they are getting more roomier and better as the years go on. My dad was on a DCA-EWR flight and on his 735, the ignitor went. The other mechanical problem is on a 732 EWR-MCO (several years ago around 5) the air conditioning was broken and we had to fly without air conditioning. As for the past 2 years, they have been excellant. Not any problems. Eix years ago they were terrible. I would recommend them now. They are one of the best!

CO has great service and nice planes. My only complaint is the lack of partners. CO advertises itself as having more international flights than any other US airline. That's true at face value, but mostly the result of the large # of flights to Mexico and the Micronesia division. In practice, CO doesn't have as much of a global reach as some of its larger competitors. If you need to go somewhere like Buenos Aires or Santiago in South America, or practically anywhere in Africa, Australia, etc., I don't think CO can get you there. This is the advantage large alliance carriers like AA and UA have. Overall, for most places I need to go though, CO is a great airline.

I'll speak as an LAX (Southern California) traveller: Neither CO nor NW gets me to where I need to go. Neither has a significant West Coast presence. Neither flies anywhere other than their hubs from LAX (except to Hawaii, and in NW's case, Japan). NW flies planes that are as old as dirt, and CO flies mostly narrow-bodies to New York (Newark) -- no 3-class service -- in stark contrast to UA, AA, and DL.

Frankly, for the West Coast traveller, neither is first choice, unless you need to go to Cleveland, Houston (except both AA and UA fly non-stop), Minneapolis, Detroit, or Memphis.

Continental is the best airline out there. Great fleet, 777s, 767s, 757s, wow! What a great airline. Look at NWA, DC-19-14, 2nd oldest passenger jet in operation! PEE-YEW! NWA has DC-10s, which are old, Continental is smart to upgrade them to a more comfortable 767! Continental's service is fabulous, and my last from EWR-MSP was great, the flight attendants were extremely nice, and darn funny! Continental will get my vote, they will win it for sure, haven't seen NWA up there. And no, can't fight back that one, look at the consecutive years that CO has one awards! Lots! NWA, ehhhh. I'm not criticizing NWA, I'm just saying that Continentals service, flights, fleet, and almost everything else, surpasses NWA by far! NWA tries too hard to be #1! Go on a Continental 777, then on a NWA DC-10, then report back to me! I wonder what you have chosen!!?? Of course the CO 777, WOOHOO!
