Is it true that that AC will no longer to put ex-CP 744's C-GMWW in service? Cause I saw the plane stored in AC's YVR hangar for 2 months along with other 6 737-200s.

And more interestingly, this poor C-GMWW has lost one of it's winglets. I suppose they're not flying anymore?

Yes, I've also heard that it's being returned to the lessor in Feb. CP employed their 4 744's on routes to NRT, BKK, HKG, TPE but traffic has now dropped. BKK is no longer served and 744 service to NRT, TPE and HKG has been reduced or replaced by the 343 or 763. The remaining 3 ex-CP 744's are also used on YVR-HNL/YYZ which are a mismatch for the 744's design. YVR-LHR is a summer 744 route.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

It would appear Air Canada is slowly becoming an all AirBus fleet.

'Tis a shame... GMWW is the ex-CP a/c that was used in all of those metre-long cardboard cutouts of Canadi>n airplanes that you'd see in travel agencies. I snagged one from the Air Canada Montreal CTO as they were getting rid of all the CP-branded stuff.
