As of yesterday afternoon, Boeing delivered 620 jets in 1999. That is simply amazing. On the order side, if they validate all the mystery orders, marketshare will stand at 48% to 52% for Airbus. This is the consortium's best performance ever. Anyone know the dollar value of this split (which may still go in BA's favor due to 747 freighter orders)?

I wonder also whether BA now qualifies for gov't launch assistance as the new underdog. With all these budget surpluses, I'd like to see a massive gov't program with Boeing to create the Blended Wing Design. We need something radical for the 21st C.
