I would say this is pretty sad to see all those aircraft parked and out of service, I wonder if this is the result of 9/11?

Most of this is due to 09/11,hence the Delta Express 737´s,however the AA DC-10´s we out of service before this and were in storage long before 09/11.

The parked UA 10's aren't a result of 9.11.

Kind of interesting to see all 3 DL schemes together.

I love America. I guess that makes me Bush's poodle, but I'd rather be a dog in New York City than a prince in Riyadh.

It's always sad to see planes full of life fade away in the dessert.

The reason for this picture is the idiot bean counter that runs Delta Air Lines. Southwest is expanding and making money charging low fares. Express's load factors were high and are still that way. The tourist traffic has recovered. What will not recover is the high yield business traffic, and that is what Delta is attempting to capture with high fares, no in cabin service, and no leg room. The other hidden reason is that Delta Express was cut 50% was a power play with DALPA, and that led to the furloughing of pilots, primarily from the MCO base on the 737-200. It is a shame that those aircraft are parked but 9/11 is only the excuse. Bad management is the reason.
