Just as a point of interest, the Beeches are a dog of an aircraft in terms of going inop.

Damn sight better than the old Metroliners though.

Beech 1900 ZK-JNG has been to Christchurch a few times operating Blenheim-CHC return. Unfortunantly it's not in NZ c/s

TG992,
I flew 1900D's for 6 months on RPT ops and not once was a flight CNL due to the aircraft going inop. I think the longest delay I had was 45 mins. The aircraft I flew(12 in total) had between 3000 -19000 hours each. The systems in the 1900D a very reliable. It does not require a SAS system (another item that can go U/S) which is required on the Metro.
The Shorts 360 that I fly is a "dog" when it goes U/S. Parts are very expensive, the location of systems shown in the Maintenance Manual do not match the aircraft. Give me a 1900D any day.

F111 et al..

sorry guys I was referring directly to Air NZ's 1900Ds.
Perhaps they haven't got maintenance procedures 'down pat' yet, but almost every second day flights have to be juggled around due to 'BEH u/s'.
