Do you know if United Express (Great Lakes) still flies to Spencer Municipal SPW? They used to fly to Denver and O'Hare with a Beech 1900. Do you know of any web sites that will tell me if they still fly there? Thanks VW

I do not believe so. From what I'm aware of they had to drop it because of the 1900s high operating costs.

Great Lakes was asked to leave Spencer after defaulting on hanger rent, airport fees, fuel bills, etc. One good thing about Great Lakes...they've been through it all - and they're still flying!

Ramper, how reliable are your sources??? :P

My friends there, who range from the top to the bottom, all said that they pulled out because loads were aweful to MSP and the "through" flight to DEN.. that was mainly a MX repo flight that happened to be scheduled. The move to CYS was to keep the airline closer to it's center of operations...

anyway, they're still flying, thank god  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Great Lakes Aviation is no longer serving the Spencer airport as either UAX or GLA. The only UAX company that serves Spencer is Air Wisky out of ORD.
