I'm scheduled to fly Frankfurt - London Gatwick on BA 2717 on February 24, 2002. I have checked the itinerary from British Airways and it states that the aircraft type used is "AR1" which I presume means that it is an Avro RJ100, with the flight being operated by Cityflyer.
My question: Does anyone know if these aircraft are a) fully fitted with the new blue leather BA seats and b) are the aircraft configured 3x3 or 3x2 in economy? I have had a look on the BA Website but as Citflyer is a franchisee, they do not display the seat layouts for their aircraft.
I hope somone out there can help provide the info I need!

The answers re config are correct, but as an aside it isn't really a CityFlyer flight anymore. CityFlyer have been merged into BA's LGW operation now and while it continues under a FD AOC until March, to all intents and purposes it is now just another BA flight.
What made it different before is now gone.

Hi guys and gals!
Thanks a lot for the information.
The whole thing is a bit strange. On Februar 24, 2002 the flight BA 2717 FRA - LGW is an RJ100 but LGW - FRA one week later Sunday March 3, 2002 on BA 2716 (i.e. the aircraft that positions out to FRA to do BA 2717 at 17.10) is a B737-400.
I don't have much choice as far as the airline is concerned - it's a business trip and as such, we have to stick to LH or BA for corporate discounts. Air Namibia therefore isn't an option although a 744 would be nice. I suspected 3x3 on BA but recently I travelled on a 146 operated by Titan and they had a really nice 2x3 config. and I was kind of hopeful that it may be the same. Oh well - 3x3 for 1hr30 flight is fine - at least I'm thin!
Thanks again for your time and effort!
