I flew from LGA-GSO today and when the ticket agent asked the common question, "have your bags been with you ever since they were packed?" the correct answer was no b/c we had checked them with the front desk of the hotel. Until all airports are outfitted with baggage scanners for checked luggage, this period during which the hotel bellman has access to the bags could provide an opportunity for terrorists to place explosives that will go undetected. Has anyone else noticed this potential area of concern?
