I flew into Nashville and few months ago and saw what was left of AA's hub there. Alot of the concourse has had the jetways pulled and the concourses are empty. Raleigh lost AA as well, however the are building it back up slowly with the ERJ's.
What happen to Nashville and Raleigh??? Why did AA pull out? Was it Maimi?? Focus on San Jose???

They closed both hubs. I guess they were both unprofitable. Also, RDU and BNA don't have huge O&D that is vital for major hub. Plus, when they purchased EAL's Latin American network, they gained a Latin American hub in Miami, and made it thier Southern hub in 1991, effectively replacing BNA and RDU.

I don't think American totally ditched RDU. They still have the LGW daily and the flights to the major hubs. I think American's past presence at RDU will be replaced the regional jets of American Eagle.
As with BNA, I'd say its long gone.
