MIA's website is http://www.miami-airport.com/ . The trip by car from MIA to Key West will be about 3-5 hours, but I'm unsure as to how to get you there.

Here's Expedia's Route:

3: Bear LEFT (West) onto Local road(s) < 0.1 0:01
4: Continue (South) on SR-959 [N Red Rd] 0.5 0:01
5: Continue (South) on SR-959 [Red Rd] 1.5 0:04
6: Continue (South) on SR-959 [SW 57th Ave] 3.4 0:09
7: Bear RIGHT (South-West) onto US-1 [SR-5] 146 2:59

That may be the route via computer, but in reality,
your looking at a 4-5 hour drive. Most of the way its
only a 2-lane hiway. A good portion of it is on or over
the water. There is a lot of traffic on that route but
its a beautiful drive. Rent a convertible and enjoy
it to the max!!!!
