--they eliminated their Metrojet division
--greatly reduced service at BWI
--slowly ramping up service at DCA, where business was hurt badly by the long closure of National Airport.
--they laid off about 11,000 workers
--deferred delivery of multiple Airbus aircraft
--sped up retirement of 732 (all gone now), F100, and MD80's -- to be gone in the spring
