I want a radio scanner for when I'm spotting. I need one that's cheap, but still ok to use. I'm willing to spen about 40$. If any of you have a scanner you don't want (still working) then contact me over the E-mail or on A.net. Thanks for your help.

Try Radio Shack. When I was "little" dad bought me a floor model from there for cheap. It was the best scanner I ever had until my graceful husband broke the antenna off. Its never been the same.  Sad

Where do you live?

If it's the US, then I agree Radio Shack is pretty good. Also, they sell a cheap AM/VHF radio for about $20, but there's no LCD display- you must tune it with a knob.

$40.00 is going to be tough...

You may want to try http://www.ebay.com or here

I have to agree... go with Radio Shack. It won't be $40, but it will be under $100 and last for years and years.

Don't worry, its not a Radio Shack POS... their brand of scanner radios are made by Uniden.
