Weird Thing On Air Tahiti Nui A340

Have you guys noticed that on Air Tahiti Nui's only A340, there is the Spanish flag next to the Registration.

Is this because of a lease or is it just because they forgot to take the flag off after delivery from Europe.

Thats okay she is going and they are getting some new 340-300X, the one from Canada 3000 and one that has yet to be taken up.

That figure didn't look like the Spanish flag, may be it's Tahiti's flag.

Jason...where do you see the Spanish flag? All I see is the flag for French Polynesia/Tahiti.

Yes this is the Tahitian flag.
French Polynesia is a French Overseas Territory, so aircrafts which are registered at Tahiti have the Tahitian flag on the fuselage. La Reunion island is a French overseas departement, so the aircrafts which are registered at La Reunion Island have the French flag on the fuselage.
