Ghana Airways At BWI

On Wednesday, January 9, 2002 I was at the observation deck at BWI waiting my CO flight to CLE. The most interesting aircraft I saw was a Ghana Airways DC-10. I didn't know they flew to BWI, I thought they only flew to JFK three times weekly. Does anybody have any information on this aircraft and why it was at BWI?

Last I checked, GH operated twice weekly scheduled service to BWI. Once weekly BWI-Accra, once weekly BWI-Banjul-Accra.
Definitely the most interesting sked service I know of at BWI...
