When will the ERJ 140 enter service? I note that ASA is already operating the 44-seat version of the CRJ200 but obviously this was much simpler since it is just a CRJ200 with 6 seats removed where as the ERJ140 is a shrink aircraft.

There are a couple of so-called ERJ-140's in service at the moment. 14 with American Eagle and 1 with Chautauqua. This was by the end of december 2001.
The official Embraer marking is not ERJ-140 but 135KL or 135KE. Only the KL's are delivered yet.
