With the new customs facility opening at MDW in a few weeks, what airlines and destinations can we expect to see? I know ATA has announced service to Aruba, Grand Cayman, Cancun and Guadalajara. Has anyone heard of anything else?

ATA will be flying from these international destinations
Puerto Vallatra
Cancun
Grand cayman
Montego bay
Punta Cana
Aruba
Guadalajara

Mexicana may go to MDW but if they do they might go from Mexico City and some others.

Here's some trivia if you care.....Midway Mark I used to fly MDW-YYZ until 1991.

YYZ or YHM are both good probabilities in the next couple of years. YYZ has US pre-clearance though so it would be like a domestic flight arriving in the US.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

I do remember that service to YYZ; I believe it was operated by Canadian in cooperation with the old Midway Airlines. Westjet is looking to expand into the US; MDW might be a good fit for them!

You're right...sorry...it was Canadian 732's on MDW-YYZ. The Midway MD-87's flew PHL-YYZ.

I remember seeing billboards in Chicago with Canadian Airlines' ads saying "Chicago is now a Canadian city".
Kinda cool for a Canadian to see that!

Azteca (ZE) is planning to start service from Mexico City, Zacatecas and Guadalajara to Chicago Midway using the B737-700's.
