Has anyone news about Qantaslink and Hawaiian? When will they introduce more 717's? Is Turkmenistan Airl. also adding some more 717's? And what about Montenegro Airlines, are they going ahead with a 717 purchase?

Hawaiian has taken delivery of all 13 717s they have on firm order. Prior to the Aloha-Hawaiian merger announcement I heard a second-hand rumor that Hawaiian was looking at converting up to 5 of their 7 options. The way things look now, if the merger does go through, the 717 seems the obvious type for interisland service and some or all of the options will need to be converted to replace Aloha's 737-200s.

In my opinion Qantas will not order any additional 717's, rather a bigger domestic 737 fleet of 737-800's and 400's.

Hawaiian will more than likely convert 5 of their 7 options to firm orders...stay tuned.

Bangkok Air will be getting another 717 from Pembroke Leasing, I'm not sure of delivery date yet or paint scheme, but they will get at least one more.

Quantas Link is interested in more 717s as well, the details are still being worked out..stay tuned.

VuelaMex is now down to 3 (undelivered) 717s, as one has been taken back to the paint shop and is being painted in Airtran colors, Airtran is said to be interested in all four VuelaMex aircraft.

No word on Montenegro Airlines as of yet..stay tuned.

That's all for now.

Michael
