A friend of mine, Alvin from HKG, suggested this topic.

HKG will have her own Disneyland in 2005, and at that time, will CX paint one of their planes in Disney livery then? When Disney Sea opened in Japan, JAL painted a number of their planes in the really pretty Disney livery. Will CX do the same? And what planes will they use? The A346 or B744?

Hkgspotter1,
There is a simply way to know if Air France have any Disney planes. You just need to use the photo search on this web.
To all,
If CX have Disney plane. The major color is still the green because that color is the image of CX. And I think Dragonair have much chance to have the Disney plane because mainland China is the main target of Dragonair and Disneyland.

CXCPA,

HKGSpotter knows that Air France has no Disney planes. He asked the question to prove that just because there is a Dinsey, it does not mean that the local airline will paint an aircraft up in a Disney scheme.

Yes, it was a rhetorical question, basically it doesn't need to be answered.  Smile

CXCPA, have you been spotting with us before?

It would be interesting if Cathay did paint them in disney...look forward to it, perhaps it would be called "Spirit of Hong Kong 2005"  Smile

As much as I wish CX would do so, I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. CX has been incredibly conservative when it comes to any kind of special livery on their planes. It took such monumental historical events like the return of Hong Kong to China and the Millenium to get them to paint anything up. Even their own 50th birthday (back in 1996) was only commemorated on their planes with an inconspicuously painted "50" on the fuselage. My bet is that any "Disney Special" won't be much more than a sticker job.

Hi, actually on my recent cathay pacific flight from YVR to HKG. I noticed some flight attendants were giving out disney goodies bags for children passengers. So i think it's just a matter of time when CX paints their aircrafts with disney theme.
