Since you didn't specify if they have to be CURRENT schemes, I'm going to include some liveries of yesteryear.
3. Continental (current)
4. USAir (toss up between rust colors livery and final red/blue livery)
5. National (new)
9. Reno Air
10. America West (old)
Ones I don't (or won't miss)
1. Western (white fuselage)
2. Pan Am (I'm sorry, but the blue ball never did anything for me from an aesthetic point of view)
3. Access Air
10. Korean Air

I have a couple of favorite liveries:
Continental: Very soothing.
Royal Jordanian: You know they did their homework on it.
Others I like: British, Qantas, United, TWA, LAPA
The puke-inducing bunch:
AeroContinente: It gives you a headache just looking at it.
Air Jamaica: It looks like a Brazilian Carnaval, just no girls to look at.
Vasp: Look very, very, very, very, old. LAB too, obviously, since Vasp owns it.
Others I UN-like: SAS ( the new livery), El-Al (agreed: too old!)
Delta: They've improved, but not one of the best. Their previous scheme was just horrendous. Ugly tail with a "dirty" white paint. Ugh!!
Finally: American. I don't dislike it, but they have had it forever. Anyone know for how long? For sure all of my life. Any plans to change it?
My internet was not shut down, the internet has shut me down

I agree with you on Americans livery. I beleive it came out in '72, which makes it older than me too!
I've often wondered if they'll ever change it too. But, HOW? As it is now, it is simple, basic, and logical.
Any suggestions? And no, the lightning bolt is dead and would be best left dead.

1. I'm focusing on Aisan liveries only cuz it seems that most of you don't know any asian airlines (except for KAL, for it's famous safety record.
2. It's all about paint schemes, no other factors considered ie, service, safety record, image, etc...
China Airlines (new colour)
Korean Air (in contradiction with it's image!)
Air New Zealand (new colour)
All Nippon Airways' pokamon (all of them)
Cathay Pacific (the best paint scheme, very unique)
Asiana (in contradiction with it's service level)
China Airlines (old colour)
Air New Zealand (old colour)
Far Eastern Air Transport (a big "FAT" on it's tail!!)

No disrespect meant, but I tend to avoid anything relating to Asia...except of course my Japanese Honda, and fine Japanese Electronics......
I have no desire to ever see that part of the world....
Asians here don't seem to like ME...
Therefore, I couldn't care less about Asian Airliners or airlines.

1.) American-beautiful with the sun setting on its back. Plus the plain look saves them money on fuel
2.) America West- Do they have a paint scheme dept?
3.) New Virgin Atlantic
4.) New Icelandair- Now this scheme is SWEET!
2.) Air France
3.) Old United-Blah!
4.) Air China-They somehow managed to make an md-11 look ugly. I couldnt do that if i tried.

KLM: I like the blue color
Northwest: also beautiful colors
Air France: no colors present, boring paint scheme
Austrian Airlines: idem
Delta Airlines: idem
British Airways: old paint scheme, I like the tails, but that's all
Sabena: boring, blue and white isn't that bad, but it looks cheap
AOM and all the other airlines that have just two stupid colors.

Old British Airways
Original Braniff...flying colors of the 70s
(Funny how both United and US Airways have blue and gray...thanks Stephan Wolf)
American! Time to update already!
new and old Delta
new and old TWA
The paint scheme says a lot about the airline. Notice how US Airways seems much more of a professional airline now? In my opinion, whites should not be used. Gray and blue represent business and professionalism.
More trivia...looks like American now paints the tail gray. Also, when American first received the A300, it was painted gray because Airbus wouldn't allow it to be natural. They believed it would lead to corrosion. They worked it out a few years later.

I think the best looking aircraft belong to America West. The green and orange look so cool. I have a model America West A320 sitting on my desk. I also like Frontier and Pro-Air. Many of the "newer" airlines have cooler color schemes because they have updated research and color preferences (same reason why new sports franchises usually lead in merchandise sales - cooler colors.)
I don't like American's aluminum scheme. Going back the Eastern's bare metal scheme, I have never cared for it.

I hate both new and old AmericaWest. The old was very boring looking. The new one just look too bright and ugly. They took the UA offer. Their fleet would look much better with the UA scheme. ( I have to say that I hate the new UNITED SHUTTLE letters., the ones with the SHUTTLE in black..awful! yuk!)

How can Frontier have the worst paint scheme you must be talking about the old one. Braniff had the worst paint scheme of them all. British airways was just boring. Their new paint scheme is much better. America West has one of the best paint schemes.
25 Finnair MD-11: Hello all!! I think that Finnair's old livery on the MD- and DC- planes is the BEST. Also great liveries are: Delta (O/C), Canadian (N/C), Aer Lingus
26 Futurepilot2b: Faves: TWA (new) UAL (new) Continental Aloha AirTran Uglies: NWA Hawaiian Sabena Delta Was does everybody else thing about Aloha Airlines Paint Scheme
27 Scotty: Favourite - dunno. Maybe new Air Transat colours Least favourite - the yellow pyooky mess launched today by Buzz
28 Na: Nice, should stay for long: Qantas - nice graphic design, Australias perfect representative (why do they now start to paint the engines in boring grey
29 Mech: My favorites are Virgin Atlantic, sun country,KLM,and the old Northwest Orient paint scheme. My least favorite is US air, and Delta but Im seeing a new
30 Seriouslyfunny: fav: midway, masair, citybird (if i had to choose one it would be midway) least: american, american, and american (BORING!) brian
31 AngelAirways: Best: British Airways, Frontier Worst: Olympic, Iberia, Libyan Arab (old one) (gold)
32 AKelley728: Favorite: Continental (a classic!) and American West Least: Southwest (Just what color is that? rusted orange?)
