The Best Airport To Be Stranded In

If you had to stay for 24 hours (or more!) in an airport, for whatever reason, which airport do you think is the best one for it to happen? I'd like to know a few pros & cons on airports anywhere in the world, what your options & opinions are about entertaiment, what the ambiance is, possible good spotting places, food, girls, anything you believe makes your choice best.
Of course, for the sake of this discussion, you can't leave your airport at any time for any activity.

Definitely LAS...
Airport open 24/7. Lots of slot machines, planes, nice terminal, eateries, and a short ride to the Strip. Can also ride trams over and over. (I once killed an afternoon at EWR this way) Also, plenty of photo ops available during the day. Nice scenery....lots of cute women pass through there.

Definitvly not Aswan (ASW) in Egypt!!

We had to take an EgytpAir (MSR) flight to Cairo at 01:30AM and finally left at 08:30.It was cold due to AC, we did not get any explanation nor food/drink, no cute girls (only egiptian policemen) and no air traffic.....

Yes I agree LAS is good for the proximity to the strip and the scenery of girls. On the international front, FRA and AMS are pretty good too. FRA has a great viewing area for spotting, decent duty free shopping and a porno shop in the airport. Also, for after hours, the terminal is connected to the Sheraton which has agreat bar scene filled with flight attendants.

AMS has a great viewing deck, great duty free shopping along with a great airplane shop. You can take a train from inside the terminal and in 20 minutes you are in downtown Amsterdam. If you cant have a good time in AMS well then....

Singapore's Changi would be the best airport to be stranded in. They have a swimming pool, trains that connect the terminals, and a free city tour for connecting passengers who have a four hour or more layover. They also have plenty of good places to eat, plus hotel rooms you can rent for short periods.

IAH is, because there is a hotel connected to the airport which wou can access from an underground train. This hotel also has a great place to eat that turns in a circle very slowly so you can a have a nice view of the planes. You can also access any of the four terminals in around three minutes.

That means you can rent rooms by the hour in case you want a place to sleep or shower and change during your layover. You don't have to pay for a whole night like you do in most hotels. I used the one at NRT and it was spotlessly clean and inexpensive. I've never used the one at SIN but I have seen it while exploring the airport.

I love CPH they also have a lot of nice shops, you can buy a car inside the terminal for example, nice shops and nice bars and restaurants as well as short period rooms...

I'd have to say that ORD and FRA, are good mainly because they have hotels connected to the terminal with views of the field.
Although I like Frankfurt better because they have an aviation shop, an observation area, and varied airlines and aeroplanes.

Me personally, like any airport that is very big and spacious. Just because it's big enough that I don't get claustrophobia...
but my favorites that I have been in are DFW & GIG.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you which is my favorite airport to stay in, & it would be Denver, just because I love it's design. Just for that reason, I would stay there forever...well may be not forever, but pretty close.
For entertainment, of course I would choose LAS, but that airport can be deadly to your pocket.

Hi, Gundu. When I go to Singapore, I spend the first and last night at Le Meredien Changi, so I'll be near the airport. The rest of the time I stay in town at the Hotel Asia on Scotts Road.
Singapore is my favorite travel destination. I've been there four times.
