I read on JetBlue's website that they would like to serve the following cities from there new Long Beach (LGB) hub:
Boston, MA
Chicago, IL
Denver, CO
Dallas, TX
Fort Lauderdale, FL
Houston, TX
Las Vegas, NV
Oakland, CA
Portland, OR
Phoenix, AZ
Sacramento, CA
Salt Lake City, UT
Seattle, WA
Washington, DC
In what time frame could we see some of these cities launched? Its been a while since they added any new cities.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

I hope they come to Midway. They thought about it before sept.11th and they stopped but they might reconsider.

Yes jetBlue is gonna add 6 flights in April but they have not said what the new cities are gonna be. I have talked with a few people at LGB for them and they said maybe Washington D.C is one city and maybe either Chicago or FLL might be one of the other cities. As soon as I know something I will post it.

Okay, thanks LGB Photos.
Mmmmmmm......I'd love to see another JetBlue flight to DEN.
It better be during the day though, when I can see it.
Regards.

Jetblue was given slots to add 30 flights out of LGB by the city of Long Beach, I want to say that was the end of May or beginning of June 2001. They have 2 years to fill them all or they could lose what they don't use.
So that gives them about 18 months to add flights without the risk of somebody else stepping in and using the slots.

Greg: 27/14 comes out to a little less than 2, so there will be about two flights to each destination. Granted, it isn't set in stone, but there will be less flights to more vacation destinations and more to business.
I think B6 is trying to get the slot restriction lifted so they can have more flights and frequency.

The other 14 slots are used by AA, America West, UPS, Fed Ex, and Airborne Express. jetBlue may not take all 27, only 26 and another carrier would take the one slot. But I doubt that will happen.

why is there a big deal about losing the slots? It's not as though carriers are banging down the doors at LGB to get in.

What about gate and ramp space at lgb. Are they planning an expansion or new terminal for JetBlue.
