Watching sari-clad FA's move about the aisle, i have often wondered if their attire is not going to cause serious trouble in case of an emergency.

Apart from Air India and Indian Airlines, British Airways also seems to have started placing sari-cladd airhostesses onboard some of their 747 flights.

It is going to get extremely dificult for them to move around fast with a nine-yard sari, that too made of chiffon.

Some local politicians had once raised a stink about IC airhostesses wearing *transparent* saris, but i am surprised no one has talked about the safety aspect yet.

Are sari's safe as compared to the mini-skirts or some such, that 9W FA's wear?
