Hello All. Once in my life I can say that something unusual happened here in the small "city" of GRAZ/GRZ in Austria. Yesterday a AUA Flight OS 688 from Odessa to Vienna was diverted to Graz after a telephone caller said there was a bomb on board the aircraft . The call was taken very seriously because a bomb had exploded shortly before at Odessa airport. It was a very unusual scen yesterday at GRZ-THALERHOF airport, there sooo many police , medics , firetrucks , special commandos all over the place..they even brought in equipment which could "block" frequencies so that the bomb couldnt be ignited. The "caller" said that the bomb would be altitude sensitive and that it would explode at 200...didnt mention ft/meter above ground or sea level though.. well they searched the plane untill the morning hours , but no bomb was found..pretty scary though!! Just wanted to let you know of some gladfully happy end "action" at my small airport.
