Imagine seating in your comfortable aisle seat and getting spilled with hot coffee due to Clear Air Turbulence.

Would you ban hot drinks in flight due to CAT?

I Would!

how about using different cups of coffee that makes it harder to spill over?

By the way i don't drink any coffe or tea (or alcohol) ob borad. But it will be too much to ask Passengers to give up drinking hot stuff. However in case of expected turbulance i would also ban hot drinks reffrering to saftey!

Even if you don't drink hot drinks on board you can get spilled with it!

The problem of Clear Air Turbulence is that nobody can foresee them and many people did get hurt, because of not wearing their seat belt or due to the hot drinks.
