Worlds Nicest/Cleanest Airport

In your opinion, what is the worlds nicest/cleanest airport. I think that Vancouver Intl. (YVR) is the nicest airport I have visited, and I have been to a lot of airports. It is immacuatly clean, there are streams of water running through, a lot of plants, totem polls, gardens, and the structure is very modern with a lot of pine colored wood and brushed chrome. Then I realized the way they can make it so nice is they charge $10.00 per person when you check-in for each departing flight. What do you think is the nicest airport?

I've always been partial to the new terminal at Pittsburgh Intl (PIT). Well designed, lots of shops in the center, and very clean.

I have been to both HNL and DEN. In my opinion DEN is the cleanest airport in the country. HNL is unique for the states.

CMH is really nice and I have also found CVG to be pretty clean. The most disgusting airport that I have ever been to was Chicago-Midway! I don't know what it looks like now, but when I was there in the early 1990's, it was horrible!

The only problem I've seen with DEN is the distance you have to walk (especially the "C" concourse) from the train if your plane is at the far end. That's one freakin' long trek with bags in hand.

Yes, it is a long trek at DEN, that is unless of course you can hustle the guy that drives the cart with the crippled people around.  Big thumbs up

I think the most disgusting airport is LAX, especially the Alaska Airlines Baggage claim, that room is rotting away.

The cleanest I've ever seen is AMS, MCO, and DEN.

Absolutely the most amazing airports I've ever been to.

The new Schwechat (sp?) airport at Vienna is brand new, and is very light, airy, and is quite calm and soothing, it's probably my favorite.

Someday, we'll look back at this, laugh nervously, and then change the subject.

I love Orlando International. Nice, clean and I always love the feeling of arriving there because a new vacation is beginning and great golf courses aren't to far away.

My vote, as always, also goes to YVR. Once the renovations to the domestic terminal are finished it will be even nicer. What an airport!!!

The dirtiest airport I have ever been to was LAX. The Continental terminal was filthy. It was small and all torn up. The cleanist airport was MCO. That airport was spotless and very nice.

IMHO,LIH in Hawaii is the nicest. It's the only one that I've ever seen that is open-air. There is no wall between the curb and the ticket counter and the people are sooooo nice!

I travel through 20 or so airports a year, YVR, Vancouver, BC 2 to 3 times a year.

That's my pick. Not only is it clean, it has an open air feeling. Even the lines at custom have a tranquil feeling. Very tall ceiling with lot's of natural light and pleasant Customs Agents.

Not to mention, Vancouver is the cleanest, tidiest, occupied by the friendliest people in a large city I've ever been to.

YVR gets my vote. I especially like the anthropology display "room" on your way to the customs area after arriving. I love the architecture, the "BC blend" and the openness. I never knew totem poles would look so great in a modern looking building.

Not only that, but the baggage claim area is clean too!
