A China Airlines A340's landing gear has smashed into a pile of snow at Anchorage Airport.
Flight CI011, bound for Taipei from New York, was preparing to depart from its techinical stop, Anchorage, when the A340 seems like entering the wrong runway.
The plane has arrived safely at Taipei at 0622 (LT) on Jan 26. Both passengers and the plane are safe.
The A340 was carring 226 passengers. According to CI, the plane finally departed at 1140 (LT) on Jan 25 in Anchorage. The captain is Fung.

pilot took off from the taxiway, not the
runway!!!
From the news I've read so far, the pilot
was cleared for take-off. However, he
used the taxiway to take-off... probably
thinking it was the runway... However,
they did say the pilot flies on the
JFK-ANC-TPE route regulary on the A340s
and no one knows how he could have
made the mistake at ANC...
