Since yesterday the Colombian army searched in a huge area with 2 helicopters and 3 airplanes with assistance of the Ecuadorians. Recording to the Aerocivil (Colombian civil aviation) TAME’s B-727 was 12 miles away from his original route. Within the area no survivors has been found. The 727 was enroute from Quito (Ecuador) to Cali Colombia with a stop in Tulcan carrying 9 crew members and 94 passengers (43 of them Colombians)

My sympathy goes to the victim's family members.

A terrible tragedy for all of the victims. I hope they didn't suffer much. That was quite an attractive plane as well, with good-looking classic Delta-like tail design.

Colombian troops and rescue teams that reached the wreckage of TAME 727 yesterday, haven’t found any survivors in this tragic accident. Parts of the plane and body’s have been founded on 4.500m above sea level, about 100 meters under the top of the Volcano Cumbal.

Two pilots of the Ecuadorian Air force also died yesterday in an accident with their Cessna about 120 km from Guayaquil nearby a airforce base el balneario de Salinas.

May all victims rest in peace.
