It seems that people on this forum seem to know all sorts of little esoteric facts, like which flights KLM operates single class B738s on and the new routes JetBlue is considering. I was wondering where people get this information and if they could suggest some sources that I might look at so I could stay current with what's happening in aviation.

If you type practically all airline names followed by ".com" you will most often than not end up on the airline's website. There you can get any information you want. Also you can access Boeing and Airbus sites in the same manner.
Or you can ask questions here.

You just have to search and ye shall find.
Seriously, that is such a hard question to answer. Of course, google, yahoo and other search engines are useful. Airliners.net is indispensable (with the above stated axiom fully applicable). Also, you can search Yahoo groups for a SIG that tweaks your fancy and join it.

I like http://justplanes.com/, it has a News section that's updated twice weekly, and is a good summary of what happened in the commercial airline industry worldwide (new orders, routes, etc).
