727-200: 27 (4 retired 2/1/02, 8 gone 3/1/02, 7 gone 4/1/02, last 8 gone 5/1/02)
737-800: 77
757-200: 119 (4 more del. 2002)
767-200: 29
767-300: 49
A-300: 34
777-200: 41 (2 more del. 2002)
Total: 709 aircraft

Ex-TWA:
717-200: 30 (being retired 4/1/02-7/02)(9 parked at MCI, 1 at STL)
MD-80: 103
757-200: 27 (some possibly sold in 2002/03)(1 parked at LAX)
767-300: 9
Total: 169 aircraft

GRAND TOTAL: 878 aircraft

Note: 2 MD-11's still in AA's colors & posession are parked at AFW

On the last day of service for 727-200, any knowledge of the last several flights city pairs? Did AA have a schedule change on JAN 31? new timetable printed?

N724TW isn't parked at LAX anymore, and it hasn't been since TW got parts from P&W to fix the recent vane cracking problem on the 2040 series engines. In fact, 724TW was down in Atlanta geting engine maintenance done at Delta as recently as the 23rd of January.
