Just surfing the net and came across this L-1011 pic, landing in Salt Lake. Reminded me of how great that aircraft was, and I felt like sharing it with you guys

Hi!

yes you took a great picture to share with us, surely the L1011 was a great aircraft, TAP used 7 L1011-500's, 5 where new and 2 where leased via ALIA. I personally tasted the L1011 when I travelled around USA in 1989 with TWA, I flew internally with TWA and all the flights where with L1011:

JFK-SJU - N31030 - L1011-100
SJU-MIA-STL - N7035T - L1011-100
STL-LAX - N31013 - L1011-1
LAX-JFK-LIS - N31019 - L1011-50

Great fun and great memories!!!
Regards

Looks real to me. The plane seems to be in landing configuration, and it's obviously taken with a good telephoto lense, hence the clarity of the mt.s in the background.

My favorite part of watching a tristar is those nose high landing and the rotating red beacon. Will miss those three engine birds.
