I was wondering if DL had any schedule changes like increased capacities for the 2002 Olympics. I know that there are some flight restrictions on certain days. Does anyone know how those will affect Delta's Schedule, and other airliners schedules?

All I know is that I'm scheduled to fly an MD-90 FROM SNA-SLC-MCI this friday, but since we'd be arriving during the "no fly zone" timed, we're just flying SNA-MCI without the stop in SLC.

I just returned from SLC Sunday night, skiing in Park City. Alright, from what i saw, DL has alot more flights, like from Newark, increased service from Atlanta, and Cincinnati. I saw about 4 or 5 767's there upon arrival, and i flew a new 764 from Atlanta. I know DL already operates a ton of flights, like every hour or 2 or 3 from Atlanta with 767's and 757's.

Delta and all other airline serving SLC will have to deal with a four hour closing of the airport during the opening/closing ceremonies, which will affect about 350 flights...it will be interesting!

How much strain will this put on DLs system given the shear number of connections they have at SLC that will have to be sent elsewhere now? Where will these addtions be absorved? I couldnt imagine DFW handling all of them and we already saw what happens when they put to much strain on ATL. I don't think CVG could absorb that much more either.

Any idea if Delta will be taking over for some SkyWest flights?
