Yes, my friends, today indeed is a sorry day. For today is that last time
that TWA will ever operate JFK-FCO   What started in 1946 with little dc-3's then moved up to TWO 747-200 daily from jfk shortly shrunk into one 747 then to ONE 762 and now is nothing.
My Mom has the pleasure and the pain of going out on 840 tonight the airplane is a 767-200 and is fully loaded with PAYING PAX being left behind cause of how small the plane is   The crew is supper senior the highest person on the list is #6 sheds the 6th oldest person with twa she is 65 years of age. (my Mom is the baby of the flight ranking in at #200)
The station at fco is beyond pathetic all the agents where crying (this is when i was there on the 6th) and the station manager was in tears (and he's a macho man too!) AND THE ITALIAN GOV'T SEIZED ALL OF TWA'S GROUND EQUIP DUE TO THE FACT TWA DIDN'T GIVE PROPER NOTIFICATION THAT THEY WHERE LEAVING ROME AND THE SH*T ON THE GROUND IS WORTH 2 MILLION DOLLARS +
Let us please pay our respects To twa as they lose there big money making route by posting under this subject the good times you've had with or one this airline and the good times we all look forward to haivin on TWA....TWA our airline!
God bless (And love your airline before it goes away)
Matt

Just goes to show that TWA isn't finished making BAD decisions.

I have Nothing against TWA. But, sadly, the way they are going lately, it may be hard to find them, or be one...

As you know, I had the pleasure of flying on the first TWA 747-100, and the only one in new colours. This was flight 902, jfk-bcn. These days, it is flight 904, a 757 with a stop in LIS.
I know how you feel

-Moment of silence
-Thnks

life wasn't worth the balance, or the crumpled paper it was written on

WOW 2 and a half out of 6 that replied where actually good things thanks guys

Seeing how where having trouble trying to talk about good experiences on a great airline i will get the ball rolling

When i was 6 years old i took my first international trip. the trip was on twa it was a 747-200 from jfk-fco i was in the upper deck and i had a window seat. i remember say dad (my dad was a cpt for twa) how dose this big thing fly! and i never took my eyes off the windows till we landed i was so fascinated with the engines and how they kept us up. It was so cool..infact i remember getting off the plane and hearing my dad say kool!
