Can some tell me the order the busiest airports are in North America? I have a feeling that ORD isn't the busiest airport anymore.

Since when has JFK been in the top 3? JFK handles about around 30 millions passengers a year! Compare that to even Miami which has about 34 million. The reason: JFK is slot restrained! Alright here is what I remember from the official Airport's int'l council figures:
1. Atlanta
2. Chicago (ORD)
3. LAX
4. DFW
5. SFO
6. DEN
7. MIA
8. JFK
9. EWR
10. ???

There is also Houston Intercontinental. Not in the top five or anything but a lot busier than Pittsburgh or Boston.

This link has traffic information for 1998.

http://www.airports.org/traffic/busiest.html

PS. To find YWG, scroll down to #129 with 149,847 movements. Granted, it is the Worlds airports and not just North America.

Counting only US airports (all of them, not just commercial) you have 153 airports that are busier than YWG.

How can YYC be busier than YUL. It just doesn't make sense!!!! And YWG is at 123 not 153. I checked this out my self. Also there is NO way that IAH is busier than BOS. There is twice as much traffic in BOS. MSP is alot busier than SEA.
That is my thoughts

Boston has to be one of the busiest! Yet I had an awful experience at LaGuardia a couple of years ago. I was flying back to Boston on the Delta Shutlle (727-200 model for those of you who are curious). The flight from New York City to Boston is approximately 30 to 45 minutes at the most. We spent AT LEAST 45 minutes just waiting in the queue to take off. The flight was shorter than waiting to take off! Weather WAS NOT a problem.

For any of you out there that have plans to fly to New York in the future, try flying to Newark (EWR). Those of you that are coming from outside North America, you are fortunate enough not to fly in to La Guardia, you have either EWR or JFK

YWG777, I certainly doubt the numbers are lying, not matter how strange they may appear....

IAH is easily busier than Boston. Keep in mind we get over 500 flights a day from Continental alone, and then twenty three other airlines with anywhere from 1 to 19 flights a day.

The busiest airport in Canada is a little off topic, but anyways YYC is busier than YUL. At least according to Transport Canada's webpage. Don't forget that Montreal also has Mirabel airport, which reduces traffic to Dorval a bit. Also, YYC has more connecting traffic, as it carries a large portion of the traffic for Edmonton as well, whereas a lot of YUL traffic is fed to YYZ connections.
