When will swiss get more A320s?
How about A330s and MD-11s?
Will these aircraft be ex-swissair?

Hello,

More A320s, not in a long long time.
Most A330s are staying.
Most MD-11s are staying in the short term, but will be replaced by A340-300s/B777s in around 2 years time.
MD-83s leaving.
A319s leaving.

The main big news in the next while is the arrival of the Embaers. Embraer 170s from the end of this year (if the 170 is on schedule, heard of a short delay) and then the Embaer 190 from 2004 on.

I have never heard that MD-11 should be replaced by 777. The clear goal is to have more or less one cockpit, whitch would indicate to A340. For the regional part, as far as I know, the former CEO of Crossair has signed for Embraer.

Swissair had orders in for the A340-600, or the -500, but I'm pretty sure that it was the -600.

Anyhow, the plans to bring those into the fleet have been shelved, at least for now.

I would be quite shocked to see a B777, or any Boeing aircraft, enter the Swissair, or what's soon to be Swiss Air Lines, fleet.

They're keeping those MD11s for African routes and for longer range routes to Asia and LA and Miami.

MD11 is very important to SR fleet.

Supposedly MD80s are staying for a charter operation???
