I just found out that the last official Swissair flight will be as following (MD-11):

29th of march departure from ZRH nonstop to CPT (day flight)

30th of march roundtrip over Gardenroute and the Stellenbosch vinelands.

01st of april return to ZRH (day flight).

As some of you may know, Swissair in its old form will not be existing off the first of april this year.  Crying
Be shure, I'll try my best to give it a nice reception when this flight comes back to ZRH.

Hello,

Thank you for that Loadcontroller. Is there any way I could post that over on the Swissair Yahoo Group ? I obviously would say that "Loadcontroller" posted it on Airliners.net.

As I see, this is a charter flight. And in the title they write "The last big Swissair flight". So, I will that really be the very last touchdown of a Swissair aircraft?

It would be interesting to know when the last scheduled flight of Swissair takes place.

Hello,

Loadcontroller, thanks again!

Airways, very good point about it not being SR's last schedule flight.

Airmale, Swissair dropped Cape Town 1 or 2 years ago.

This is horrible!!!!!! I have spent many wonderful hours on Swissair MD11 aircraft between ZRH and CPT.
Loadcontroller, the flight on the 30th Gardenroute and Winelands; do you have any more info? Will this be before the scheduled flight lands, or is it a charter flight? If it is charter, how do I book a seat-I'm serious!!
thanks

SA-JET

Still, I have no further infos on the round-trip flight. The travel agency is not shure yet if they will be allowed to sell tickets to locals in ZA.

As soon as I know more, I'll let you know.
