Air Canada will have to defer the planned purchase of five A340s and A330s after posting a 61 million dollar loss last quarter. Will this mean that their 747-100s will be reinstated?

According to the December 98 issue of ACAR, all of AC's 747 100's were scheduled to be retired. AC's loss was mainly due to their Sep. 98 strike. AC had been planning to reire the older 747's in late 97.
