Delta Air Lines MD-11 To Europe

Hi,

Does Delta use the MD-11 to europe again? I know that after 9/11 they pulled it out but then I heard about the accident in Dublin so I wanted to know if that was just a replacement for a 767 flight or do they now use it again?
I hope to see the MD-11 in FRA again soon!

Delta flies the MD-11 during this winter schedule to Dublin and Shannon. I saw it today, but I was really mad last week coz it messed things up really bad, for example I was scheduled to fly Shannon-Dublin last Sunday and instead of a 23 minute flight, the journey from check-in to arrival took 11 hours, needless to say i went by bus in the end!!!!

ATL-AMS uses a MD-11
ATL-LGW uses a MD-11
ATL-CDG uses a mix of MD-11 and 777

there is probably a couple of others also

One correction: DL no longer flies to NGO. LAX-NGO was axed.

FRA is 2 767-300ER's each day from ATL, 1 767-300ER each day from CVG, and 1 767-300ER each day from JFK. According to the timetable, will stay that way.

BOM was switched to CDG, and MAN is staying 777 from everyone I've talked to and everything I've read.

Hello Ryan,
According to Amadeus MAN-ATL is operated by an MD-11 from April 7, 2002.

The "downgrade" to the MD-11 appears quite a strange move given their main competition out of Manchester are bmi british midland/US Airways/Continental/Virgin all flying more passenger friendly 330/764/747 aircraft.

Hopefully this is just for the Summer!

ATL-ZRH (DL66)
ATL-CDG (DL22)
ATL-AMS (DL38)
ATL-NRT (DL55)
ATL-GRU (DL105)
ATL-LGW (DL 58)
ATL-LAX (DL1967)
JFK-CDG (DL118)
and several ATL-MCO roundtrips a day

Summer 2002 M11 utilization:same as above except:
ATL-BRU (DL124) goes M11 in April
JFK-CDG (DL118) switches to 777 in April
ATL-MAN (DL64) goes M11 in April - did the switcheroo with one of the LGW flights - originally ATL-LGW for summer had 2 M11s and 1 763 but now will be 1 M11 (DL12); 1 777 (DL58); and 1 763 (DL10)

Forgot to address someone's question earlier about BOM service: flight is still being operated through FRA now but will be rerouted through CDG beginning March 30 still using the 763ER. FRA will remain an all ER fleet through summer with 2 daily to ATL, 1 to CVG, and 1 to JFK.
