why would an airline bleeding to the tune of at least a million dollars a day look at such a huge investment. Suely it be better to persevere with what they have already got until the balance sheet turns black.
After all Southwest and Ryanair did not start with large orders of brand new planes. Older second hand planes from memory.
Ansett is a dead duck and I will be critisied for saying so but Australians love the thought of Ansett but Fly Qantas And Virgin Blue. The lucrative Business Market is lost forever to Qantas and loyalty schemes and public trust of Ansett are also lost too!!

dagnamit! I just wrote quite a long post about this, but it disappeared. Anyway, what we have to remember here is that the Ansett that has ordered these Airbuses will (hopefully!) be Tesna, and hence a totally different airline to the temporary one that is currently operating.
