I don't know the exact date, and I am not sure of what the flight number is. Air Transat will fly to YWG 5 times a week.

In your country airports announce new routes?
I thought that was the airline decision and responsability.

Luis, Faro, Portugal

P.S. TSC already flies to my city with L1011's and sometimes 757's

Any news on anymore air Transit routes? Thanks for this. How is Air Transit going to get ticket counters and gate agents for YWG and YYJ? Also thats means the use of a jetway. I think that Air Transit hopefully will fly to YYZ sometime soon.

Ok, yes, CO will use 777 to YYJ.
No news on any new Air TRANSAT routes, not Air Transit.
To get ticket counters and gate agents, we will expand the airprot. I don't know about YWG.
Oh, Air TRANSAT alraedy flies to YYZ, It also flies to YMX.

Thanks YYJ. I will work on seeing what is happening with the ticket counters and gate agents in YWG. I hope YWG gets another jetway for this operation. Doesn't Air Transat need ground crew as well in YWG,YYJ and FLL? please expalin this. Thanks

Something here doesn't make sense. Why on earth would AT fly YYJ-YWG-FLL for the summer? This is not a route for summer service. The charters traditionally run that sort of route for the winter, not to start in July. The demand for routes to southern spots like FLL is for the winter.

I agree with AC183. This doesn't sound right. If you say this is fact, then please provide us with proof of the new service. Yes, the airline is called Air Transat, and it is called an airport not an airprot. If Air Transat were to fly to YWG or YYJ, contracted workers could work the ground handling. I believe Canada 3000 uses CP employees for this at YWG. Just because there is a possibility of a (someone says) 5 times weekly flight does not mean there is a need for a new jetway. Gate 28 at YWG is hardly used, they could use this, 18 or 14. As long as they don't fly, even if they fly, at peak hours, there will almost always be a gate. I could see TS flying YWG-YYJ in the summer, but YWG-FLL is a winter route. Please explain your sources people...

Position 28 is usually used by AC. Gate 18 is used by Northwest, and gate 14 is used by Canadian or Westjet. What about a ticket counter? TS is going to build a new ticket counter. What do you think?
