I was bored and I decided to come and browse the forums. The number of users registered on Airliners.net caught my eye. I did a quick calculation and, as of today, it would take 29 747-400's and a 757-200 with a couple seats to spare to hold all of the registered users! (I used the capacity of United Airlines aircraft just for the hell of it) In any event, I think that's pretty damn amazing. It attests to the overall quality of the site and the thousands of men and women that make it possible! I thought this was kinda cool..........

I'll take right seat in the 757. Takeoffs are better than 747 anyway.

Somehow funny, but it puts all these user into perspective. I always though 10000 was a huge number, but 30 odd jetliners, not that much.

Yeah it sounds cool.

But then when you weed out all of the inactive and "duplicate" users, (i.e. use only individual PEOPLE an not USER NAMES) you might be lucky to fill up an A340 and maybe a 717.

Maybe that just puts into perspective how big those planes are and how many people they can carry?

Dont worry there are plenty of seats upfront to go around.
30 aircraft total=30 Left seats and 30 right seats
Of course i have dibs on a left seat somewhere!
