Today (13/02/02) a SN A340 (dark blue colour scheme) took off at BRU from RWY 25R at 15:00. The plane turned right, heading towards the "Atomium" and beyond. Any information on the destination of this flight and the destiny of this plane?

Today the 13th it was A340-300 OO-SCY. Tomorrow A340-300 OO-SCZ will be leaving as well (AIB051). Of the long haul aircraft, only A340-200 OO-SCX and A330-300 OO-SFX remain in Brussels.

Staffan - I will try to find out. If I have news I will post it. OO-SCZ is the aircraft that operated Sabena's last commercial flight. Cotonou (Benin) - Brussels.

On 12/02/2002 while rolling through 25R for take off from BRU, I saw on the right side of my a/c some two green airplanes parking next to the new terminal that is still not ready.
I couldnt really see what company it was , but it said on it in big "AIR" .

Staffan - Sorry, I had no time today to keep an eye on the Sabena A340. Did you go to the airport Staffan? Did anyone else spot the OO-SCZ?
As for the other aircraft everyone's talking about. They are two Air Afrique A300-600's. (not JMC A330's) They arrived Thursday evening. As we speak, one of the two is being repainted white by Sabena Technics and will soon be sent to Germany for cargo conversion and will fly for Islandsflug. The second should follow the same fate.
25 Staffan: A330DAT, nope, I didn't have time to go up there, a shame since it was so nice weather... Another time perhaps... Staffan
26 Sabena 690: Hey, I am in doubt if Air Tahiti would operate the A340-300. At the moment they only operate the A342. Maybe as a replacement for the A342? Let's see.
27 VirginFlyer: Sabena 690 - TN are repleacing their A340-200 with two A340-300s; one ex-Sabena and one ex-Canada3000 if I recall correctly. There was some discussion
