The first aircraft I sat in was an Eastern DC-9 at Omaha Eppley Airport in Feb. 1983.
I was 3 years old at the time. All I remember is boarding the plane at night from stairs and my Dad carrying me up while I cried my eyes out because I was so scared. Ever since then I've been into aviation.

For me it was an AIR FRANCE B747-200 in 1979 with my mom and brother (we were sitted next to door 3L and I was afraid it opened during the flight) from FDF to Paris, then an AIR INTER Mercure jet from Paris to Lyon the following day.
The Air france flight was called AF vancances (holyday flight) and you had to pick up a bag with the dinner and breakfeast before boarding the plane. There was only drink service on board, and no movie, no blanket.
