Royal Jordanian have announced a new service from BHX to Oman today, either 2 or 3 flights per week.
Dont say what a/c or what days or when the service will start, but over the last few weeks they have been operating quite a few charters using both A310s and 320s.

Good news indeed, and hopefully the service will be well supported. I heard they'll be using the A320??!??!!! Seems a long route for one of these....Thought it would be an A310...
This news, along with the return of AA and positive reports about PIA returning - Looks like my beloved BHX is on the up again. EK are carrying really good loads at the moment too. I read in the local news last night that the BA A319's are being replaced by RJ100's - Is this true?
BTW, I hear JMC are not getting rid of the 332's and we'll be seeing them at BHX this summer flying to Orlando.

As I understand all brums 319s (8) will be going to LHR
12 RJ100 (big 146s) will be BHX based with the other 4 going to Manchester this to be complete by the end of the summer..
Other news is Manx will go from 2 to 4 flights per day to/from the IOM as from the end of March but will be in BA livery as Manx will become part of the same group

David, the BHX website is one of the worst 'official' websites on the net - They can be quite late in putting the important news onto their pages, so your findings don't surprise me.
Going back to BA - 12 RJ100's eh? Not bad little aircraft these....That means the number of a/c based at BHX will increase, though they are smaller in size than the chubby '319.

The Manchester Evening News said that we're losing 6 737s....I can only imagine the RJ split is 10 for BHX and 6 for MAN. Looking forward to see them here - years of having one lot of aircraft "made in Manchester", we get a new set; it's a pity the RJX production was abandoned - imagine the ferry flight: WFD-MAN (10 minutes maximum, 5 on a good day?) Where does this leave the A318 order then?
I wonder what kind of new strategy is going to be implemented by the BA subsidiaries/franchises; a lot of the "BA" services here are BACitiExpress ones using the ERJ145; it may be one of the worst things possible in having a new runway as it gives ample opportunities for frequencies to increase whilst maintaining overall capacity!

28 Qatar: The A320 could easily fly to BHX from Amman it's only 2042 nm Great Circle distance weel within the A320's ma range of 3050nm.
29 EGBB: Today they say it will be a mix of 320s & 310s on the route
31 757man: So how come all RJ's Airbuses have French registrations? Are they leased from Airbus? BDRules - Seriously, I wish EMA luck with it's new operators, Go

40 GKirk: NCL can handel A380 I believe (not fully-loade though )
