True, Kalitta bought MGM Grand. But it wasn't Connie, it was Scott. The airline name was changed to Champion Air. Two of the DC-8s were converted to freighters after the purchase and operated by American International and Trans Continental, the third was converted before the sale and later operated by American International. The 727s were never converted to freighters. All three were returned to Cook Aircraft Leasing between February 1996 and June 1998.


What is it with all the "is there a possibilty airline X will.." threads? The answer it'll is possible.

No money. Very few passengers. Many "stars" and movie moguls fly on chartered private jets, or just take commercial "F class."
