It looks like Continental Airlines has already begun sending its 767-400 to Asia.

CO uses it's 764 on daily Tokyo-Guam flight, with the 2nd flight is a 738.

I guess CO is the first airline to send 764 to Asia?

Well I wish they would start a new DAY TIME service to Hong Kong from Guam using the 764 !!

All we get is 2 x 738 flights per week at 10.30 pm !!

the 764 is probably operating for the continental micronesia where the 764 replaced the dc-10's

Air Canada has been using 767's on the YVR-NGO, YVR-PEK and even YVR-SEL flights.

We used to get DC10 service here in HKG, but now just 2x 738s every week, so I guess no chance for the 764s!

I don't think the 764 have the range from EWR to HKG nonstop...by the way, if they can change their 738 flights into morning, it would be wonderful!

KWsea, yes, but no other airline flies the 767-400 in Asia other than Continental. There are only two operators of this plane right now. CO and Delta. Delta uses the 767-400's exclusively on domestic US flights.

The 764 definitely does not have the range for EWR-HKG.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

The main reason CS (Continental Micronesia) flights from GUM arrive into HKG in the evening is because the flight waits for connecting passengers from the U.S. on CO (Continental Airlines) flight 001 (from HNL). The CS flight from HKG to GUM leaves late in the evening so that connecting passengers on CO 002 (to HNL, then to IAH) don't have a long waiting time in GUM.

If demand picks up between GUM and HKG, it is possible that CS will increase flights...how long that will take, only time can tell.
