BRITISH Airways has mortgaged part of its aircraft fleet for £600m in order to build cash. The company has also formally withdrawn its joint application with American Airlines for a North Atlantic joint venture from the US Department of Transportation

I agree DeltaSFO, what's so special about this news? Airlines mortgage aircraft all the time. Moreover, this is not the first. Can't also understand why this is suddenly considered newsworthy by the media
