Hey everyone,

I apologise if this topic has been discussed before but I couldn't find any after some search. Just wondering, what's your favourite 'tri-jet' and why?

Personally I like the MD-11. Flew in it once and it is really comfortable, she gives you the feel of her power during take-off. She looks beutiful in every angle and has a unique cockpit window design, similar to the DC-10 compared to other planes and the cockpit is advanced and modern looking. Haven't flew the L1011 before and I guess I will never get a chance to, but I guess it makes a beautiful and elegant plane and ooh, not to forget the DC-10! Will definately miss them when they are gone.

Take care

alvin

I have always liked the Tristar. The S-duct on the Number 2 engine and the curved widshield gave it a smoother look the DC-10/MD-11. I also liked the distinct hum of the RB211's as they spooled up. Sure do miss them.  Crying

I grew up right near BUR, so I'm a Lockheed fan, but sadly enough, never had a chance to fly a TriStar (although I've spent a lot of tme on DC-10's)

Go L-1011!

I love B727 since I was a child. In fact, B727 and DC-9 was the first planes I could regconize, but I didn't like DC-9 because "it had very little wings" (...) now MD-11 is really atractive.
