Are there any photographers at the Jiddah airport in Saudi? For the last few days thousands of Muslim pilgrims have arrived in the port city for the annual hajj and I'm sure there are plenty of cool planes at the airport which even has its own Haj terminal. British RAF transporters even flew in Afghans from Kabul!

Any cool pics?

Hi there,

AFAIK photography is strictly forbidden @ airports in Saudi Arabia and especially @ Jiddah...

So no pictures and if there were any the photographers must have had extreme luck.

While photography is strictly banned, there are plenty of spots around the perimeter of the KAAIA that you can photograph from. In fact, i recently discovered a traditional Arabic restaurant where one can relax and get an excellent view of aircraft on final approach to 34C. Excellent photo opps and reg read off.

I think potography is forbidden for amateurs, as the case with other airports (mainly in India I blv). However, there are thousands of photos for pilgrims' arrivals and departures. They jsut need to be posted on the net by an authorized person.

I was out in JED last month for the start of the Haj. Nothing too exciting. Britannia's 767 in Garuda colours was about it. Yemenia, MAS, MS were all there at the Haj teminal, but nothing too exotic.
