Anyone knows if Berlin Tegel (TXL) has a spotter observation deck ? If yes, is it any good ? Is there other things to do there ?
And how about Hamburg (HAM) please - any information like observation deck there ?

Omg, it's at least 10 years ago that I've been to TXL...
HAM Terminal will surely remind you of STR Terminal 1 - it's nearly exactly the same terminal building, so you won't have any problems to find your way through the terminal.
When in Hamburg, you should take the chance and have a visit in Finkenwerder's AI facilities. Really good photo opportunities, some very rare aircraft (at least you won't see those A319/321s anywhere else in Europe), and they offer guided tours!

The old Hamburg observation deck was great--upper and lower tiers, and great photo visibility across the apron and to the runways. I visited it in 1984, when BA Tridents and Finnair DC-9's, and even NWA and JAL 747's, were regular visitors. Glad to hear that the new terminal still has a good observation area.
