I was looking at some timetables of low cost airlines and none seem to fly to Coventry. Its reasonably close to Birmingham although East Midlands is too and this will affect it.But how long is the runway and what are the terminal facilties like?
Thanks Alex

I don't think its even Cargo, its more General Aviation and I know that there are alot of old a/c stored there (ie. VERY OLD).

Its a base for Air Atlantique (sp?) which is a cargo airline. Biggest a/c ever to land was an A300.

I can see Ryanair flying from Coventry in the future if the facilities are there then.

There is probably an aerial photograph of Coventry somewhere on A.net...

I know its not exactly a busy airport...

Hello all,
I work at CVT for Atlantic Airlines and I can tell you all CVT has a runway length of 1825 Metres. It's long enough for B.733, or at a big big push (and risk) B.752!!
We have had a truck load of different a/c in over the years.
Biggest was a Schreiner A.300F, and also a B.707F many years ago, but more often now it's BAe748's, F27's, L188 Electra's, ATR42's all doing cargo work (mainly at night) and also we've had B.732's of EAL, B.733's of some french airline I can't remember the name of right now (lol) and various other visitors.
Unusual stuff over the past has seen Luftwaffe CRJ's turning up, AN-12's, AN-24's, and when BHX was closed due to the fatal crash recently, we handled the BEA 146's and D-8's, and Aer Lingus 146's that diverted.
We also have general aviation turning up all the time, biz-jets mainly, N123TL (G3), N1874M (G4) being regulars.

Hope this clears a few things up.

Cheers,
LM

Are the landing fees at Coventry high?

The terminal facilities are nearly non existant. Ryanair used to use a BAC1-11 on the Dublin route. and i think Coventry landing fees are close to EMA's
